In spite of laborious efforts to minimize the toll, falls from height continue to be among the most common causes of death and major injury for employees in the building market.
Although the variety of injuries has actually fallen significantly over the last twenty years or two, building remains a high-risk industry. There were 50 fatal injuries in the building trade in 2011. And although building work accounts for just about five percent of the British work-force, it still represents 27 percent of fatal injuries and nine percent of major injuries.
Obviously, making sure you have a truly safe working platform is vital when working at height. Your life might depend upon the quality of the cherry picker that you employ.
