In spite of laborious efforts to decrease the toll, falls from height are still one of the most typical causes of death and significant injury for employees in the construction market.
Although the variety of injuries has fallen considerably over the last twenty years or so, construction continues to be a high-risk market. There were 50 fatal injuries in the construction trade in 2011. And although construction work makes up only about five per cent of the British work-force, it still accounts for 27 per cent of deadly injuries and nine per cent of significant injuries.
Obviously, seeing to it that you have a really safe working platform is important when working at height. Your life might depend on the quality of the cherry picker that you work with.
