Although the variety of injuries has actually fallen considerably over the last 20 years approximately, building remains a high-risk industry. There were 50 fatal injuries in the construction trade in 2011. And although building work represents only about 5 percent of the British work-force, it still makes up 27 percent of fatal injuries and 9 per cent of significant injuries.
